What is a stock sentiment score?+
A single 0–100 number summarizing how bullish or bearish market participants look right now. 50 is neutral, above 55 leans bullish, below 45 leans bearish. MoodTicker combines options flow, social sentiment, mentions momentum and forum tone for stocks.
How is crypto sentiment calculated?+
For crypto, MoodTicker blends 24-hour and 7-day price momentum (40%), social sentiment from bull/bear-tagged posts (35%) and the change in mention volume over 24 hours (25%).
What counts as unusual options activity?+
An options contract is flagged when its daily volume is more than 3× its open interest, with at least 100 contracts and $25K of premium traded. Premium = volume × price × 100.
How often is the data updated?+
Scores refresh roughly every 10–30 minutes depending on the signal. Options data is delayed and reflects the latest session.
Is this financial advice?+
No. MoodTicker is an informational tool. Sentiment can be wrong or change quickly, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
